Osseous Surgery
The technique in this therapy involves removal of
a small amount of tissue to reduce the volume of the periodontal pocket.
This technique is very predictable for the
treatment of mild to moderate forms of periodontitis.
More advanced lesions will likely require
regenerate procedure.
This therapy is aimed at
reducing the periodontal pocket so to allow cleansibility on the part of the patient.
The reduction in pocket size will also reduce the pocket to decrease the number of bacteria that are able to populate the pocket.
