Osseous Surgery

• The technique in this therapy involves removal of a small amount of tissue to reduce the volume of the periodontal pocket.
   

• This technique is very predictable for the treatment of mild to moderate forms of periodontitis.
   

• More advanced lesions will likely require regenerate procedure.
   

• This therapy is aimed at reducing the periodontal pocket so to allow cleansibility on the part of the patient.
   

• The reduction in pocket size will also reduce the pocket to decrease the number of bacteria that are able to populate the pocket.
